Anyone heard anything new about the upcoming 6.7L Ford "Scorpion" V8 diesel that's supposed to be coming out soon? I know it's replacing the 6.4 Power Stroke, and I heard it would be around 390 horse and 720 lb./ft. I also heard it's got a humongous SCR and diesel cat on it, with urea-injection. Looks like Dodge & Chevy have just been put on notice!

I heard the power figures will be a little better! Reverse flow heads, and probably twins again.

Better than 390/720? What? 400+ hp!?!? Where will it end?

Hopefully it won't. By what we're seeing with the 6.4, it just keeps getting better. HAHA Ask your buddy Jason Sands about those green 6.4's!!! He'll see it's tail lights soon enough!

Who owns the rights to the Powerstroke name? Ford or International?
If I had to bet I'd say Ford does and the "Scorpion" is just a code name for the engine like "Boss" or "Hurricane" were for the 6.2 gasser. There is such a legacy built up on the "Powerstroke" name that they would be foolish to let it go now. Unless of course they have some grand marketing scheme for the "Scorpion".
