What engine do you think is better? The 5.9 or 6.7 engine? I know a lot of guys that will say the 5.9 because it doesn't have all the after-treatment junk the 6.7 does. But there's starting to be a pretty good following with the 6.7 too, despite all the technical hurdles to tuning it. What do you think?

The 6.7 certainly has a lot of potential, but the exhaust after-treatment equipment is a significant obstacle to performance.

Depends if you like to play with computers or not. The 6.7 is way more complicated than the 5.9. And which 5.9 are we talking about? 12valve? 24valve? HO?

All cummins engines are good....there was one guy who made like 1150 hp out of a 5.9......but there is also another guy on DP that makes like 650 and runs low 3's , 0-60 time in his 6.7....so they are both good for hp, but for reliability go with the 5.9 because there isn't as much electrical junk, its been around for a lond time and, its mostly mechanical...either or they are both good motors
