Help locating an issue, please

Hey,
A buddy of mine got what I believe was the January 2009 issue of 8 Lug and it accidentally got thrown away or something, anyway, he can't find it anymore.  There's an article of interest to him that I am sure was in that magazine and he kinda thought it might have been from some other publication.  If I saw the cover, I'd know in a minute it was the one he's looking for.  Some of the previous announcements to the new month's edition include a photo of the cover, but I can't seem to locate the one from January 2009.  Would anyone be able to help me out - shoot me a picture of the cover or direct me to where it might be on here??. . . just trying to help him find out what back issue he's looking for, as I am sure it was 8 Lug, and if I could help him find the cover, he'd be sure to know. Thanks

Hey - Thanks so much for a quick reply!  Unfortunately no, this one isn't it. . . I thought of something else that might give a clue. . . kinda funny, but I think it was a bikini highlight issue of sorts!  I remember something in the strip across the top about hot girls tiny bikinis and higher rpms - cuz the rpms stuff was one of the points of interest to him - though I don't recall now if there was a girl on the cover??  It doesn't seem like you all have too many issues with the girls in there. . .maybe that would solve it!  But thanks a million for your help.  I'm sure he'll be happy to finally track down what he's looking for. He really enjoyed the articles, so I was feeling pretty bummed for him to have lost it.

Sorry, I've been out of the office a lot over the holidays. We'll find it! I'll continue to search and we'll see what we can come up with.  

hmmm I have been looking and looking (even at Diesel Power) and have not come up with something that matches what you're thinking of. Let's keep workin' on it.  

Huh. . . that's really strange. . . he said he got it at a gas station, that it was 8-Lug and I saw it when he was talking about it sitting in his truck under something. . .the top 1/8 of the cover sticking up. . . so I remember that bar across the top highlighting the girls, bikinis and rpms. . . and he said it was the only magazine he picked up. . . wow. . . mystery to me!  I was gonna surprise him and let him know I found it for his birthday this month . . . rats. . . well, if you come up with something, I'd appreciate it a lot! Thanks for your help!!  

Man, I keep thinking I am losing it or something. . . so have you all never had an issue with girls?  He tears them out and pitches them whenever he picks up truck magazines - not into lusting after them he says. . .  when he showed me the article he was reading, I saw the torn page missing. . . so I remember that . . . dog gone. . . I was hoping to track it down without him knowing. Anyway, I'm just rambling. . . trying to unravel the mystery that  I guess I waited too long to chase after!   But thanks again.  

we will figure this out. I definitely have my eyes peeled. How recently? As in, what range of months should we consider?  

I thought it would have been last winter/early spring - thought sure it was January. . . but now. . . I guess it's hard to say. . . guess there's no way to locate a magazine based on a strip of words across the top!  Bummer.  

well we should be able to see that description on the cover, which is the frustrating part. It should be right there. I just have not come across it in looking at the covers.

I never knew it was going to turn out to be a trouble to you.  You guys are a relatively new publication, right?  I don't know if a gas station would possibly be selling older issues?  Seems weird, but eesh, I don't know. It's like I wish there was just an archive of covers somewhere that I could just browse through, start to finish and avoid taking up your time while I weed out this mystery!  Even just scan them for the girl issues, since I knew it was one of those!  Anyway, you've been a trooper.  Thanks.  Still feels like I am losing it or something!  

I haven't given up. I'm just not coming across it! I've been browsing the covers - so frustrating! I feel like I'M losing it!

Hey - Thanks so much!  Tell me this, seeing how the top strip said, "Hotter Girls Tinier Bikinis Higher RPMs"  I can only assume that there'd be a female posed on front????  Any way to narrow the search to just "girl" cover issues??  Kinda funny to think along those lines. . . but seeing how I personally read it, I just know it was there. . . and he said it was 8-Lug. . . ?? I just thought it would have been easy as one, two, three and we'd have it found!  I don't even know, does 8-Lug have any "cover girl" issues????  Eesh, for that matter any guys posed with trucks??  I never see people on the cover. . . but I just assumed with that highlight strip, the chances may be good for the usual eye candy! Only having seen the top strip myself, I can't even know who's the looney one anymore!!    But thanks for the continued time and effort!
